China and German Sign Joint Statement of Intent of Legal Cooperation Projects

On July 9, under the witness of Li Keqiang, Premier of State Council and Angela Dorothea Merkel, chancellor of Germany, Zhong Shan, China’s Minister of Commerce and Gerd Muller, Minister of German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development signed Jointed Statement of the Intent on Legal Cooperation Projects between Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the German Federal Republic Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
China and German have maintained benign cooperation relationship in cooperation and development for a long time. The legal cooperation projects between China and Germany is significant under the framework of development and cooperation. On the basis of the current legal cooperation projects, the two parties proposed to carry out the new term of cooperation from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2012 to offer supports for China to strengthen legal construction and deepen judicial reform in legislation, administration and justice and focus on commonly concerned issues to boost sustainable development, strengthen construction of legal system and promote long-term exchanges and cooperation in the judicial area of the two countries.
